I’m Andrew / I help people plan and design great places, products, and services. Over the last 20+ years, I’ve consulted with organizations and led teams across multiple industries, helping them be more human-centered and holistic for their customers, employees, and partners. User Experience Design, Information Architecture, Service Design, Contextual Design… I use whatever tools make sense for the challenge

Book / I’m the author of Understanding Context: a book about how people make sense of their environments, and how we can make those environments better through contextually aware design, and what that has to do with the evolving discipline of Information Architecture.

Blog / I keep a personal blog here; posts are sometimes design-related, sometimes not.

Speaking / I usually speak or teach at a few events each year, across the USA and internationally. Some of these are posted under Talks & Writings.

Current Work / My current role is Manager of UX at Regions Bank.

Previous Work / I’ve had a tour of duty with the strategic information architects at TUG, the SaaS division of Honeywell, insurance provider State Farm, the investment giant Vanguard, and several agencies. Most of my work has been with large enterprises. For more background, see LinkedIn.

Twitter / My tweets are my brain stem’s pressure-release valve. They’re a mess. But they’re my mess.
